Our lawyers have a great deal of trial experience. Howard Close, Tom Wright, and Randy Owens are experienced trial lawyers, and each is board certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Andy Love, Marie Jamison, Tod Phillips, Andrew Nelson, Ronnie Flack, and Natasha Taylor have all handled serious and complex litigation matters for many years. In addition, the firm is routinely retained by other lawyers and firms to assist them with pre-trial matters.

Our Appeals

Attention to the appeal must start in the trial court, preferably before the trial begins. While the trial lawyer focuses on winning the jury verdict, the appellate lawyer has an eye towards the appeal. Our appellate lawyers can help trial lawyers remain focused by taking responsibility for matters including pretrial motions, mandamus petitions and interlocutory appeals, research on special legal and evidentiary issues, and the critical work on the court’s jury charge. We do all of this, in addition to handling post-verdict motions and the appeal itself. Many of our attorneys clerked for state or federal courts. Tom Wright, Jessica Barger, Brian Cathey, Russ Hollenbeck, Marie Jamison, Jim Marrow, Brad Snead, Rachel Stinson, Natasha Taylor, Heidi Gumienny, and Kelley Clark Morris are Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and former Justices Eva Guzman and Wanda Fowler bring decades of Texas Supreme Court and Texas Court of Appeals experience to each case.
